Why is it essential to rent a Flytpack Pocket Wifi for your international trip? I made a review based on my recent travel experience in Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho in Vietnam. Security deposit is required just in case there are late fees, rush bookings fees, service charges or penalties due to late returns, issues after returning the devices to the travel supplier. (Ex. Defective cable, Cracked on the device and other possible physical wreck on the devices.)
We have to understand that this is a regulation to protect their business as well. Let us just be responsible and knowledgeable when renting a device. It's also important to read the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) and the Terms and Conditions so you would understand your rights as a consumer.
Here is my review for the Flytpack Pocket Wifi.
1. Easy to use. Just turn it on, search for the router's name and enter the password then you can start browsing.
2. Very Affordable. The cost per day would be around P220 up to P600 per day. You will be able to get an unlimited usage with strong signal. Take note of the "Fair Usage Policy" depending on the telecom carrier of the country that you will visit.
3. Easy to carry. Flytpack include travel adapter, cable, pouch and guidelines (how-tos, contact information etc.) for your convenience. I carried my pouch with me whenever I go sightseeing. It may be bulky for others but I like my things organized in one pouch. At least you are ready just in case you need to charge your devices and if you need to contact the technical support team for any technical issues.
4. You will not get lost. You will not get lost as long as you are connected to the internet. I am fond of searching every tourist spots in the area on my own. It gives a thrill to my quest and I get fulfilment whenever I reach the location by myself with the help of Flytpack's Pocket Wifi. I had countless of walkathons when I visited Vietnam but it was worth it and fun. It's like I am on an Amazing Race journey whenever I use the navigation feature of my smartphone finding my next destination.
5. Longer Battery Life and Usage. Flytpack's Pocket Wifi offers longer battery life. I am always afraid that it will run out of battery and I got surprised, it did not. I used it more than eight (8) and it is still functioning.
6. Reliable Internet Connection. According to Flytpack's guidelines, there is a "Fair Usage Policy". This is when the speed of your internet will become slow so other users can have a fair usage but I didn't experience it. It was fast and reliable.
7. Free Travel Adapter. It comes with a universal travel adapter that is very useful when you need to charge your phone, power bank, and other gadgets in one adapter at the same time.
8. Booking and Delivery Process. I received the router one week before my trip and the courier called me one day after I arrive in the Philippines. There are some situations wherein you will receive the router early like a month before your trip. You can also process a last minute reservation in less than five (5) working days.
Evaluation: You need to invest renting a pocket wifi if you are traveling alone or if you are on a DIY (Do It Yourself) trip. You can easily find the location and you will not get lost. This is also to save time and money using costly transportation like taxis while traveling. A great travel must-have to maintain an effortless trip.
