How To Get A Bank Certificate For Your Visa Application

Updated: Jun 22, 2019

I recently thought of getting a bank certificate because I am planning to apply for a Japan Visa this year and hoping to get approved. I don't have large amount of money in my bank account. This is for the sake of trying and testing how strict Japan Embassy is when it comes to approving visa for Filipinos. We all know that you need to have financial capability when traveling to Japan because flights. hotels and food are quite affordable to expensive based on the vlogs and blogs that I have watched and read.

I went to BDO (Banco De Oro) near our area where I opened my account and here are the steps that I encounter.

1. Fill out the form First, the representative asked me what is the purpose why I am getting a bank certificate and I told her that I need it for travel and she asked me where (destination).

You have to fill out a form with your Name, Account Number, Addressee (Japan Embassy) and the Address of Japan Embassy. 2. Wait for the document.

They will look up your information in their system once you filled out the form. Next is, they will print it and they will request to have it signed by the Branch Manager and you have to attach your signature on it as well.

3.. Bank Certificate Fee You have to pay P100 for the bank certificate and they will give you a receipt as a reference for your transaction. That's all you need to do. You will get it within the day of your transaction.
