Korea Embassy Update: Visa Application

I received this travel news from one of the accredited travel agencies of Korea Embassy in Manila. I would like to update you so that you will be aware of any changes regarding the South Korea Visa Application. It's always good to be well-informed.

This advisory is concerning the pull-out of passports. Please see the newsletter below:

"Please be reminded that from April 1, 2019, processing period of temporary visitor's visa will be 7 working days. In line with this, the Embassy will no longer allow pulling out of passports or documents once the application is received, regardless of the reason. Please make sure to confirm with the applicants that they will not be needing their passports until the release of their Korean Visa. You may request applicants to sign waivers if you prefer to do so.

Also, once application is received by the Embassy, regular application may not be changed to express processing. Please make sure to confirm with the applicants wether they need to avail of the express visa processing before submitting the application at the Embassy."

Here are some useful guidance if you are going to apply for the Express Visa Processing: 1. Please note that Express Visa Processing does not guarantee any approval of your application. 2. Express fee of P1,000 on top of the Visa Fee will not be returned if your application got declined. 3. Processing time is within 2-3 working days excluding the date of application.
