Top 3 Gadgets For Your Small Business - Read These Tips

Updated: Mar 31, 2019

Laptop/computer is one of the essential gadget for your small business. This is the brain of your business. This is where you create your flyers, contents, communicate with your customers and other marketing stuff to promote to your clients.

The price of the laptop depends on how big your business is or it is determined by your budget. There are desktop computers/laptops that are under P20,000 up to P50,000 depending on the brand that you prefer.

For me, I choose an Apple brand in view of the fact that it's very stylish and built for business persons and digital nomads like me. It might be pricey for others but I desire the value and longevity of the product. You have to invest into something that is long-lasting and not just temporary.

When choosing a smartphone of your choice, consider again your budget and the feature that you require for your business. For instance, Email, Social Media Apps (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.) to communicate and announce your business related specifics and also if you be in need of call and text messaging for your updates and follow ups.

I recommend to use the same model of your laptop/computer so you can link them together and you could easily transfer files, data etc from/to your devices.

As an example, I use an Apple laptop and an Apple Iphone 7 plus so I could easily move the documents, photos, videos etc. on my computer. Apple also has a feature where you can get messages and calls to your laptop directly. You could also use your laptop to call your customers using your laptop paired with your smartphone. I also suggest to buy a smartphone that you can use for business purposes and your mobile phone for personal use. This is to avoid confusion when receiving calls from unknown numbers and from your friends and relatives.

Printer is also a must-have gadget when opening or putting up a small business. A large number of paperworks are necessary such as printing of receipts, scanning of ID (identification card), required documents for a particular application related to your business, photocopy of contracts and business proposals and so on.

I am currently using an HP Wireless Printer that I bought last 2017. I settled on an All-In-One Printer to save money and prioritise other expenses. It has a printing, scanner and copier feature. It is also equipped with wireless function and direct printing access. No need for cables to print and scan. You can manage it all on your computer.
