Updates from Scoot Airlines as of October 16, 2020


Scoot would like to draw your attention to our latest updates.


  1. Passengers with Travel History to Indonesia or the Philippines With effect from 19​ October​ 2020​ 2359​hrs, all travelers who are not Singapore citizens or residents and have recent travel history to Indonesia or the Philippines within the last 14 days prior to entry, are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours before departure. Travelers need to present a valid negative COVID-19 test result as a condition of approval to enter or transfer through Singapore. Please click here for more information.   2. Passengers with Travel History to India All travelers, including Singapore citizens and permanent residents, with recent travel history to India within the last 14 days prior to entry, are required to take a Serology test (i.e. non-fasting blood test) during their Stay-Home Notice (SHN) period. Depending on the serology test results, they may be required to take a COVID-19 swab test before their SHN period is over.   1. Entry into Singapore via Air Travel Pass Air Pass Travel (ATP) has been extended to include:

    1. Australia (excluding Victoria State)

    2. Brunei

    3. New Zealand

  2. Stay-Home Notice Travelers from low-risk countries/ regions will serve a 7-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) at their place of residence. These low-risk countries/ regions are Macao, Mainland China, Malaysia (excluding Sabah) and Taiwan. Hong Kong will also be added to this list for travelers entering Singapore from 14​ October​ 2020​, 2359​hrs. The COVID-19 test will continue to be administered before the end of the 7-day SHN. All other travelers will continue to serve their 14-day SHN at dedicated SHN facilities and will be subjected to a COVID-19 test before the end of the SHN. Those who spent the last 14 days in Australia (excluding Victoria state), Brunei, New Zealand and Vietnam, need not serve SHN but will have to undergo a COVID-19 swab test upon arrival.   1. Singapore-Mainland China Travel Arrangements All passengers including Chinese nationals, departing Singapore for Mainland China must download and complete the Declaration Form for Direct Flight Passengers to China. This declaration form must be submitted together with the negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test (NAT) certificate to the airline upon check-in. In addition, all passengers must present a certified health declaration form or green “HS” health code issued by the Chinese embassy in Singapore during check-in. However, the following are exempted from this requirement:

    1. Children under the age of six

    2. Passengers travelling on direct flights departing Singapore for Mainland China who hold a qualified standardised COVID-19 NAT certificate. The validity period of the negative COVID-19 NAT certificates held by passengers flying from Singapore to Mainland China will be calculated based on the date of testing, not the date of issuance.

      • Two copies of the negative COVID-19 NAT certificate must be obtained. One will be submitted to the airline upon check-in and the other to clear immigration in Mainland China.

      • Passengers who are unsure if their negative COVID-19 NAT certificate fulfills these requirements can still present a certified health declaration form or green “HS” health code issued by the Chinese embassy in Singapore during check-in.
